Razer Naga Hex Gaming Mouse for MMORPGs

Hardcore gamers know that when it comes to peripherals perfect for a competitive scene, Razer is one of the premiere manufacturers. Already Razer has a ton of different products on the market ranging from keyboards and mice to game controllers and headsets. While many of these products are perfect for gamers across the board, Razer frequently comes forth to show off products that target a specific niche.
Today, for example, the company has come forth to show off the Razer Haga Hex gaming mouse. At first blush this may look like nothing more than a typical mouse but the magic happens on the side (quite literally, actually). Razer has included several macro keys for use with MMORPGs such as World of Warcraft and more. Instead of having to press the number on your keyboard, all you have to do is tap the key on the side of the Razer Naga Hex and your spell will be cast (or whatever else you have assigned to said key).
Not much has been said in terms of an official release date but those who want to slap down a $79.99 pre-order for the Razer Naga Hex can head here.

Sony Ericsson CEO Hints at Playstation Phone

Sony is one of the world’s largest electronics manufacturers with their products ranging from HDTVs and the PS3 to digital cameras and picture frames. Their cellphone department, Sony Ericsson, however has been struggling to keep up with heavy hitters like Android and Apple’s iPhone. Luckily, if rumors are to be believed, Sony will release a Playstation Phone powered by Google’s Android mobile operating system in the near future.
This rumor has been denied by Sony Ericsson execs in the past but today the company’s CEO himself, Mr. Bert Nordberg told the Wall Street Journal the following:
“There’s a lot of smoke, and I tell you there must be a fire somewhere. Sony has an extremely strong offering in the gaming market, and that’s very interesting.”
Following this statement, Nordberg said that a new device will be unveiled next Februrary during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. So does this mean there actually is a Playstation Phone and the above picture that Engadget leaked is legit? We’ll have to wait and see.

Analyst: Project Natal to cost $50

With the seemingly advanced technology featured in Project Natal, many have assumed it to be a high priced device. However, industry analyst Michael Pachter has recently let us know that he thinks Natal will cost just $50 when it ships later this year.
News comes his Pach-Attack show over at GameTrailers where he states the fact that Microsoft isn’t trying to make any money off of Natal but will instead try to get everyone to use it. Because, once everyone has it Microsoft will be able to shower us with all sorts of software that they will then make money on.
Unfortunately, Michael Pachter has no affiliation with Microsoft so we’ll have to wait until official word is given before we pass final judgement.
Check out the episode of Pach-Attack that we mentioned above after the break.

PS3 Laptop Appears on eBay

If you’re familiar with Ben Heck, you already know the deal. If not, he’s a video game modding mad genius who throws together everything from PS1 handhelds to Atari 2600 handhelds. However, one of his most highly sought after projects is a PS3 laptop but due to the fact that he rarely sells said projects, the chances of getting your hands on one remain slim to none.
Luckily, a PS3 laptop made by Ben Heck was given away as a prize. Sure, the winner could have kept the creation but it’d make a lot more sense to plop it on eBay which is exactly what he did.
Of course, the current bid is at $2,500 with 9 days remaining so unless you’re willing to drop some serious cash for a somewhat portable PS3, don’t even bother.

Blu-ray coming to an Xbox 360 near you?
In a recent interview with Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, done by GameSpot, the topic of HD video came up and of course, with the failure of HD DVD, Microsoft had some explaining to do regarding their next venture.
When asked if we will see an Xbox 360 with a built-in Blu-ray player, Ballmer responded, “Well, I don’t know if we need to put Blu-ray in there. [But] you’ll be able to get Blu-ray drives as accessories.”
Will the 360 ever feature a built-in Blu-ray player? Possibly someday in the future, when a new console gets introduced we may see a built in Blu-ray but I wouldn’t get your hopes up anytime soon. As far as a release date there hasn’t been one listed for the external Blu-ray, nor an estimated price.

Minimum PC Specs of Modern Warfare 2 Leaked
Activision has yet to notify us of the minimum PC requirements for the highly anticipated Modern Warfare 2 but luckily GameStop has today come forth to fill the void.
Make note that these technically aren’t officially confirmed yet but considering they are taken from the back of the box featured on GameStop’s Modern Warfare 2 PC listing, it’s probably safe to take them with more than a grain of salt.
Anyways, here they are:
OS: Windows Vista/XP
Processor: AMD 64 3200+ or Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz or better
Memory: 16 GB free hard drive space / 512 MB RAM (XP) / 1GB RAM (Vista)
Video Card: Shader 3.0 or better 256 MB nVida Geforce 6600GT / ATI Radeon 1600XT or better
The minimum specs aren’t too bad considering the scope of the game and if you have recently updated your PC, you shouldn’t have a problem. However, those of you still running on a Pentium 3 with 256MB of RAM (or similar) will definitely need an upgrade and you’d better do it fast as November 10th is quickly approaching.
