Blizzard sending out extra invites to StarCraft II beta testers

If you still haven’t managed to get yourself into the StarCraft II beta and don’t want to drop a few hundred for an invite on eBay, you’re in luck. Reports are coming in that say Blizzard is sending out emails containing additional StarCraft II beta keys to those already participating in the beta test.
There’s no telling how widespread these invites are being sent but if you know someone who is already in the StarCraft II beta, you better start beggin’ jus to be sure.

Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package Priced

Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has been kind enough to give us a few details on the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package map pack that’s set to drop at the end of April.
Below are the 5 new maps included in the Stimulus Package. If you’ve played CoD4, you’ll recognize that 2 of them are redone maps from that game:
New maps:
- “Bailout,” a multi-level apartment complex
- “Storm,” an open industrial park littered with heavy machinery
- “Salvage,” a snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars
Call of Duty 4 maps:
- “Crash,” a war-torn urban environment
- “Overgrown,” which features a massive dry creek bed
This is all fine and dandy except for the fact that Activision plans to charge 1200 Microsoft Points ($15) for the pack. What’s even more frightening is the number of people that are actually going to pay 15 bucks for the pack.
